Valer Nuțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 12th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Petre Benga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Bourceanu to maneuver through the defense.
