Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. If Dieguinho Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Dieguinho Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Bitelon FC - SAF made a substitution. Paulo José de Moraes replaced Agnaldo Batista. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adilson Meira to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Adilson Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Wilian Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of play. After 66 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Mancebo. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Wilian Motta threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Luca Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilian Motta was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
