GynBsb's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of GynBsb's goalie and right to Facundo Cadaval. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. GynBsb's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Frederico Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 11th minute of play forced GynBsb's goalkeeper Frederico Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 13th minute of play forced GynBsb's goalkeeper Frederico Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederico Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 16th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frederico Bertassi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 27th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frederico Bertassi skillfully saved the ball. Fellipe Cosme received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Fellipe Cosme slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Tiso Posse got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-1. GynBsb's Frederico Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 40th minute of play. In the 47th minute Vivaldo Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Frederico Bertassi made a huge save. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 53rd minute. Frederico Bertassi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 58th minute. Augusto Leal hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Alberto Tafalla came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Frederico Bertassi could save by the left post. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Lautaro Mancebo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Frederico Bertassi quite easily take care of the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Cosme in the 64th minute of the match. Facundo Cadaval succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 68th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in GynBsb's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Bertassi came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Fernandes in the 73rd minute of play. GynBsb's Frederico Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 76th minute of play. GynBsb's Frederico Bertassi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save GynBsb from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 86 minutes into the game, GynBsb's Fellipe Cosme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. 89 minutes into the match, GynBsb's goalkeeper Frederico Bertassi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiso Posse, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Frederico Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. When Tiso Posse fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GynBsb's protests and gave Tiso Posse a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GynBsb getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Tiso Posse hit a great ball.
