Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 9th minute. The corner ended in Facundo Cadaval almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BuanaRaya's Cătălin Ostoici did a great save. BuanaRaya's Cătălin Ostoici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 16th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Grigoris Katsafanas sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigoris Katsafanas got free with Dante Lacasa in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cătălin Ostoici prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When BuanaRaya's Grigoris Katsafanas in 32 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Dante Lacasa guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a defensive mix-up in BuanaRaya's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cătălin Ostoici came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luca Zorita in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cătălin Ostoici prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The attack was good, but when Luca Zorita in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 39th minute, Meng Quan Han hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cătălin Ostoici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 44 played minutes BuanaRaya got a freekick which was hit by Meng Quan Han. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ayi Kusumah made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Ceyhan İlmi in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind.
