Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Mees showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC Henter Somosd had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
