After 93 played minutes, DEMİREL.FC's Ernest Aldulescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DEMİREL.FC reached it. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Dobarral having to interfere. Ecuador played a much better game than DEMİREL.FC and deserved their victory. The DEMİREL.FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
