Cassius Byrne took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulgencio Eyague. Fulgencio Eyague dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Silvestre Semeno hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Marco Day was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Isidro Oliviero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Fulgencio Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AC LeX Luthor getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Pancho Branca hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Alvaro Errando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidro Oliviero. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. After some careless play in the USA defense, Isidro Oliviero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Oliviero in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AC LeX Luthor made a substitution. Peep Pronk replaced Isidro Oliviero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peep Pronk in the 65th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peep Pronk in the 77th minute of play. USA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because AC LeX Luthor had won, even though USA had held more of the ball.
