If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th match minute, Göteborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukas Fogel to maneuver through the defense. Göteborg's 谢冰适 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 14th minute of play. Oscar Hellsing received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Oscar Hellsing slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. Benjamin Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 谢冰适 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 33rd minute, Costa Rica's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oscar Hellsing fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Göteborg's Oscar Hellsing got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Stål in the 36th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Ödmann during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Göteborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Ödmann to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kalle Stål. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Oscar Hellsing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Kalle Stål ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ulf Nyqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Göteborg made a substitution. Tommy Janssen replaced Kalle Stål. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommy Janssen went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 谢冰适 having to interfere. Lukas Fogel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Moruga during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Janssen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Hellsing scored 5-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Oscar Hellsing notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Oscar Hellsing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göteborg's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
