Douwe Gentenaar's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douwe Gentenaar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sheep United getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Douwe Gentenaar hit a great ball. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Erik Kolman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Gisbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aad van Zonderen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vincent Borker in the 21 minute of the game. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Cazalla struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Erik Kolman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Aad van Zonderen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Francisco Seco made a precise shot to the right of Erik Kolman. Sheep United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Aad van Zonderen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Erik Kolman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Kolman having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Sainz. Douwe Gentenaar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Erik Kolman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. In the 46th minute, Vincent Borker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. Sheep United's Erik Kolman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Sheep United from getting a goal against them. Erik Kolman made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. If Aad van Zonderen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Aad van Zonderen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Kolman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-2 became the score in the 73rd minute when Francisco Seco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Douwe Gentenaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Kolman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After having played for 85 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th play minute Maximiliano Escribano came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Erik Kolman. 0-4.
