Rüştü Kadim charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Frutos in the 39th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agah Çeliktaş having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pars Sururi. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Agah Çeliktaş however easily saved by the left post. If Hulk As had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pars Sururi in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Burak Safvetullah came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Agah Çeliktaş made a huge save. After taking down the ball on ஐ ▓▒ ≮Ҝằ§ŧîиGs ≯™ ▒▓ ஐ's corner Chunche Montero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rüştü Kadim came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 88 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
