In the 5th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Konradsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Patrick Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lemel SV's protests and gave Patrick Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. That was the end of his participation in the match. 45 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Ernst de Hoop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Abram Sarmiento in the 46th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Colombia's Pascual Carballar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Manfred Konradsson in the 50 minute of the game. In the 88th minute of the match, Santino Seco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ernst de Hoop saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Lemel SV's Ernst de Hoop got control of the ball when Abram Secada tried to sneak it across the goal line.
