The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Telesforo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. A collision led to CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11 getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Guido Bautista hit a great ball. Aquilino Abella hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agustin Telesforo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11 were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ariel Francho took the corner. After taking down the ball on CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11's corner Ariel Francho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Shen Zhi Qian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th play minute Joel Toro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 1-0. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustin Telesforo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Gonzalez during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Agustin Telesforo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agustin Telesforo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11 made a substitution. Adrian Elia replaced Guido Bautista. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Toro in the 65th minute of play. Shen Zhi Qian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Agustin Telesforo was a little too slow when Luis Andino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 2-2. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The supporters of CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11 booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. After 80 played minutes CAPITAN PILUSO 26.06.11 got a freekick which was hit by Joel Toro. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustin Telesforo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 90th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Shen Zhi Qian came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
