After 10 minutes αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Daniël Isla despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filomeno Bladi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Daniël Isla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of the match. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Bladi in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's Filomeno Bladi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 36th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniël Isla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Filomeno Bladi scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 2-0. Filomeno Bladi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Filomeno Bladi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniël Isla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Filomeno Bladi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's Filomeno Bladi in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Lucas couldn't finish the play. Elias Romelio kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Daniël Isla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Luis Andino threw the ball into play from the sideline. αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's Elias Romelio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Bladi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ's Filomeno Bladi in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
