When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Denis Gilabert. After 25 played minutes AL TOKE FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Primo. Denis Gilabert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denis Gilabert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atilio Romagnoli took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ján Novák in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Gilabert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Paul van der Leegte charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean-Paul van der Leegte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, AL TOKE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Paul van der Leegte to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Gilabert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
