Javier García made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier García saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier García showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 25th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Javier García read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Alekos Roubakis in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Mancebo charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lautaro Mancebo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Lautaro Mancebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. When Joel Gaona fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Joel Gaona a yellow card for diving instead. Joel Gaona hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Orlando Rivera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Iosif Glossopoulos fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored O.T.E's protests and gave Iosif Glossopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. O.T.E's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Javier García, making the score, 0-2. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Macos Graciani got a free kick in the 70th minute. O.T.E made a substitution. Özen Baroğlu replaced Orlando Rivera. The supporters of O.T.E booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macos Graciani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Özen Baroğlu in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to O.T.E getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Iosif Glossopoulos hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Alberto Tafalla fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 80th minute of play forced O.T.E's goalkeeper Javier García to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the O.T.E defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Javier García. The O.T.E fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Javier García should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than O.T.E throughout the match.
