The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luiz Eduardo Xavier did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Bruno Barrett 7 minutes into the match. Luiz Eduardo Xavier had several of the Curacao's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Bruno Barrett as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bruno Barrett made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Thor Ståhlberg sent off a good shot on target. If Jörgen Valrot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Granberg in the 22nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thor Ståhlberg in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Eduardo Xavier succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. In the 27th minute Thor Ståhlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5-0 became the score in the 29th minute when Thor Ståhlberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Luiz Eduardo Xavier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. Luiz Eduardo Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jörgen Valrot's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bruno Barrett firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyle Davies to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven Granberg went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Thor Ståhlberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Barrett was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Luiz Eduardo Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bergandy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
