Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 余义桑 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Anastasio Ponce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. 44 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when 邵邦沙 came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 曲扬磊 in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Chile's Pedro Indiano got a free kick in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 曲扬磊 made a kick off.
