Vacid Seralp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 18 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vacid Seralp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vacid Seralp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vacid Seralp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. The Calentura players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergen Kutsalan made a kick off. After 69 minutes, Francisco Carballar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Calentura players grew even worse after the yellow card.
