With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 6 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Nimass came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zygmunt Bochinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Nichifor Nimass ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The throw-in from Alex Chicote in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Girondins4Ever's Christian Alves. Nichifor Nimass's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Nichifor Nimass's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Nichifor Nimass got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Nichifor Nimass's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Girondins4Ever's John-Paul Marquant was substituted for Nichifor Nimass. 72 minutes into the game, Girondins4Ever's John-Paul Marquant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Girondins4Ever made a substitution. Igor Thibault replaced Nicky Larson. An unexpectedly hard shot by John-Paul Marquant in the 90th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Igor Thibault hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 98 minutes, the score became 8-0 when John-Paul Marquant sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
