The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Red Hawk Football Club booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Red Hawk Football Club getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Oleguer Domènech hit a great ball. In the 11th minute of the match Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albert Canyelles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Aleix Rosanes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Hawk Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Aleix Rosanes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aleix Rosanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Aleix Rosanes put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The audience was convinced that Aleix Rosanes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Canyelles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. When Aleix Rosanes came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Red Hawk Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleix Rosanes couldn't finish the play. If Aleix Rosanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleix Rosanes in the 34th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Aleix Rosanes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 5-0. 42 minutes into the match, Red Hawk Football Club's Aleix Rosanes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albert Canyelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Aleix Rosanes struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Hawk Football Club. Albert Canyelles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Macia in the 63rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Red Hawk Football Club got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferran Planes in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaume Vilardell in the 82nd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaume Vilardell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Red Hawk Football Club had played much better football throughout.
