Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Hector Azeari sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chen Lin De was slow to take the kick. During this time Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's Chen Lin De to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 35th minute of play forced Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Quentin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godfredo Erruki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC made a substitution. Aggelos Lazopoulos replaced Chen Lin De. Virgilio Quentin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 71st minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Erruki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Godfredo Erruki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Frede Kauffmann made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla got a free kick in the 85th minute. The Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Tandil Córdoba Legnano FC's Godfredo Erruki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
