Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rab Cura was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that Alex Cambeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rab Cura quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Marcin Wawro sent off a good shot on target. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Jansen in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Marcin Wawro tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Funes in the 13th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Zimmermann in the 18th minute of the match. When Panama's Abraham Alguacil in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rab Cura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lakis Traganitis in the 51st minute of play. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Gilberto Funes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Henry Zimmermann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute Marcin Wawro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute Gilberto Funes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lakis Traganitis in the 72nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Lakis Traganitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Rab Cura to make any attempt to save it. There was no doubt that RODOS F.C. were the better team. RODOS F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
