Yan Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The tension between the Milan da Freguesia F.C. and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anselmo Maraschin kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Du Song Lin, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. With a little luck, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s João Vítor Arósio got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Du Song Lin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Milan da Freguesia F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Du Song Lin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
