Dani Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Chivos de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 37th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of USA booed when Chivos de Punto Fijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Ståhlman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Äliqulu Vermäliyev got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team.
