The supporters of Grütly booed when Deportivo Mandiyu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Bilintx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Edur took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roque Narvaja. Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roberto Cherro to make the kick off. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grütly players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Deportivo Mandiyu.
