In the 3rd minute Nelson Haedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Neubrandt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Neubrandt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Haedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Moisés Cordeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Internazionale-RS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 10th minute Alan Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Aguilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Tavares in the 11th minute of play. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Tavares in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match, Moisés Cordeiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfredo Aguilar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A nice corner shot did that Michel Netto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfredo Aguilar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper Stefan Neubrandt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute Alan Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Aguilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelson Haedo's late challenge caught a Internazionale-RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Haedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Haedo to maneuver through the defense. Batiste Carrez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfredo Aguilar. Club Olimpia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Stefan Neubrandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Haedo in the 29th minute of the match. Alfredo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Lynch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Tavares in the 39th minute of play. Club Olimpia's Di Yang Lei managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dany-Adams De Scheper in the 41 minute of the game. After 44 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by 孙超星. 46 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's Dany-Adams De Scheper sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Aguilar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rogelio Lynch to make the kick off. Roberto Bueldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Stefan Neubrandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Tavares scored 2-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Aguilar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Club Olimpia getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Di Yang Lei hit a great ball. When Internazionale-RS's Alan Tavares in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Internazionale-RS fully deserved thier win.
