Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sydney Ramalho started the match with the kick off. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Manoel de Amorim sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Anselmo Fantini dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Luiz Eduardo Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Anselmo Fantini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After recieving a nice pass, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Carlos Eduardo Veiga tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Manoel de Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 39th minute of play forced Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Aesir FC FSCMZ's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Galvão came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Ramalho came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Sydney Ramalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Anselmo Fantini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Fantini's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute, Sydney Ramalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aesir FC FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 68th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Anselmo Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Sydney Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aesir FC FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Berger came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sydney Ramalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sydney Ramalho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd minute, Anselmo Fantini made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Aesir FC FSCMZ fully deserved thier win.
