An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Klose in the 30th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 34th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Simões came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristopher Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Klose in the 51st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Facundo Cadaval could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Kristopher Johnson made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Facundo Cadaval slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kristopher Johnson. That made the score 0-2 after 56 minutes of play. In the 62nd minute Miroslav Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 minutes of play, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Miroslav Klose made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78thth minute of the game Miroslav Klose who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miroslav Klose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslav Klose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C..
