Brak Gola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 9th minute of play. When Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Brak Gola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ruud van Nistelrooij sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th minute Ruud van Nistelrooij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Walery Marud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Panama booed when Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Oriche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

58 minutes into the game, Aaron Barrios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Underdogs the free kick. Underdogs made a substitution. Apostolis Arvanitoyannis replaced Ruud van Nistelrooij. In the 58th minute, one of Panama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panama. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Underdogs. Apostolis Arvanitoyannis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcos Cotilla. 2-2. The Underdogs fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Underdogs's Apostolis Arvanitoyannis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolis Arvanitoyannis in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Olszewski to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brak Gola showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The throw-in from Jose Carita in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Underdogs's Walery Soszka. Apostolis Arvanitoyannis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Underdogs booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolis Arvanitoyannis in the 88th minute of play. Konstanty Orszak kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jose Carita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brak Gola. Underdogs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Apostolis Arvanitoyannis put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Underdogs's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
