After 5 played minutes Real Trabzon Sk got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Harun Karasu. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Görkem Büyükada in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Görkem Büyükada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the Real Trabzon Sk defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Görkem Büyükada. The Real Trabzon Sk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Görkem Büyükada should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Görkem Büyükada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Görkem Büyükada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Zekeriya Özbekkan kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sufi Mevlit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zekeriya Özbekkan in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Zekeriya Özbekkan fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Trabzon Sk's protests and gave Zekeriya Özbekkan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Real Trabzon Sk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zekeriya Özbekkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Zekeriya Özbekkan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st match minute, Real Trabzon Sk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuncer Dural to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Real Trabzon Sk getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Mats Hummels hit a great ball. Sufi Mevlit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Görkem Büyükada made a huge save. In the 69th minute, Saffet Akdağ made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Real Trabzon Sk's Görkem Büyükada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Real Trabzon Sk from getting a goal against them. Ali Macit Salman's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Macit Salman helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Real Trabzon Sk's Ali Macit Salman got a free kick in the 78th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zekeriya Özbekkan in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Real Trabzon Sk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zekeriya Özbekkan to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Görkem Büyükada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Görkem Büyükada made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. If Sufi Mevlit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Saffet Akdağ came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zekeriya Özbekkan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
