In the 9thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. M. Agus Young's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Santa Lucia de Merlo's M. Agus Young slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Lacasa to make the kick off. Felix Garrido made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Santa Lucia de Merlo's Kong Chang Zheng. Bosse Spendrup charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bosse Spendrup the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bosse Spendrup hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Levan Poggenborg was substituted for Ermegildo Salamon. After 57 played minutes Santa Lucia de Merlo got a freekick which was hit by Bosse Spendrup. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florentino Herauso. Florentino Herauso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Polo Quinteros in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Polo Quinteros's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Polo Quinteros in the 72nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Polo Quinteros came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Polo Quinteros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Lucia de Merlo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 91 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 93 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arnaldo Chano who took care of the corner kick. In the 93rd minute, Alvaro Llorienzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
