Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Olliver Todman started the match with the kick off. Guillermo Mariano made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Ben Minton. Guillermo Mariano made in the 7th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Illescas immediately put the ball in play. In the 13th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Herman Heberle fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Australian Youth Academy's protests and gave Herman Heberle a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Herman Heberle got a free kick in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dani Cochrane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dani Cochrane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dani Cochrane saved Australian Youth Academy from getting behind. Dani Cochrane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the game, Ollie Flesfadar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Australian Youth Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 31st minute, Ollie Flesfadar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bradley Obree hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Dani Cochrane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dani Cochrane was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Cochrane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Dani Cochrane made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Dakota Gaffigan got a free kick in the 56th minute. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dani Cochrane was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dani Cochrane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Dani Cochrane. Australian Youth Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 73 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dani Cochrane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 80th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Dani Cochrane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Dani Cochrane skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
