Paulus Van Poucke was slow to take the kick. During this time Maravilla's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Maravilla's Paulus Van Poucke to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Facundo Altamirano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Maravilla's Cruz Credo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cruz Credo took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Facundo Altamirano saved Maravilla from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Facundo Altamirano was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cruz Credo went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cruz Credo made a kick off. Maravilla's Facundo Altamirano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Maravilla from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Escribano got free with Facundo Altamirano in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cruz Credo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Maravilla booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Beldad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Paulus Van Poucke shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Gayoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 74th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cruz Credo in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Arturo Carvallo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Maravilla's Vasco Gentil quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cruz Credo went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Maravilla fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
