Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Baxters Boys's Staffan Åman. But to his dismay, Staffan Åman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Baxters Boys's Börje Albohm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 35th minute of play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mexico's Joel Gaona collided with an opponent after 57 minutes. The hit was so violent that he fractured his nose and had to leave the field. Johan Bäckman's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börje Albohm was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Alberto Tafalla capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alberto Tafalla really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Mexico played a much better game than Baxters Boys and deserved their victory. The Baxters Boys players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
