Sixten Sjö might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sixten Sjö ran back to his position shaking his head. Thiago Pliego was a little too slow when Sixten Sjö got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 14th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Sixten Sjö sent off a good shot on target. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sixten Sjö in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 36th minute of play forced Jonsereds IF's goalkeeper Gil Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Folke Wahlström fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jonsereds IF's protests and gave Folke Wahlström a yellow card for diving instead. Folke Wahlström kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a free kick in the 46th minute. After 48 minutes, Guillermo Fontirroig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Jonsereds IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jonsereds IF booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Fontirroig didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

52 minutes into the match, Jonsereds IF's goalkeeper Gil Garcia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Garcia. Gil Garcia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 60th minute, Folke Wahlström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixten Sjö took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Jarl Petersson hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Gil Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 75th minute of the match. Jonsereds IF's Sixten Sjö got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Jonsereds IF's Gil Garcia got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Sixten Sjö kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Chile booed when Jonsereds IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarl Petersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Jonsereds IF could leave the field as winners, despite Chile having more of the ball for most of the match.
