La masia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Maximino Cesario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Wes Lieckens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La masia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. La masia's Maximino Cesario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Cesario having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, La masia's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Maximino Cesario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Cesario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximino Cesario saved La masia from getting behind. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wes Lieckens in the 24th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Wes Lieckens kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 2-1 in the 24 minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Wes Lieckens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximino Cesario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes La masia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Maximino Cesario quite easily take care of the ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Maximino Cesario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when La masia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomislav Mikalauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when La masia's Kent Stuckens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maximino Cesario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Cesario. Maximino Cesario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 45th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Cesario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wes Lieckens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, La masia's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Maximino Cesario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Cesario. Maximino Cesario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. The shot was a little too simple and Maximino Cesario could save by the left post. 61 minutes into the match, La masia's goalkeeper Maximino Cesario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Maximino Cesario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bill Hofnagels charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bill Hofnagels the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Bill Hofnagels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Cesario having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Lieckens in the 82nd minute of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by La masia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Maximino Cesario made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute Wes Lieckens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
