Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kim Bolas in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the game, Kim Bolas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 8th match minute, Sliema Dragons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Kim Bolas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Demicoli. Sliema Dragons FC's Pepe Ferreira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 15th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kim Bolas in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Sliema Dragons FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Bolas. Kim Bolas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Kim Bolas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kim Bolas really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. 35 minutes into the game, Kim Bolas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Kim Bolas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Kim Bolas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kim Bolas might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kim Bolas ran back to his position shaking his head. After 43 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Sliema Dragons FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Kim Bolas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 55 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Bolas came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 55th minute of the match Alan Moruga completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alan Moruga a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 57th minute, Kim Bolas made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 60th minute, Kim Bolas made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kim Bolas's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute Kim Bolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Bolas in the 67th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Matteo Borda replaced 周斐俊. In the 71st minute of the match Fabian Duca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. Dejan Cassar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dejan Cassar went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dejan Cassar in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Dejan Cassar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 82 minutes, Gábor Illés managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sliema Dragons FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gábor Illés was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dejan Cassar's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Dejan Cassar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The throw-in from Eliseo Noboa in the 94th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sliema Dragons FC's Giovanni Demicoli.
