Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Fire Devils's Samuel Giger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 5th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Julio Vera but with some difficulty. If Sven-Arne Bengtsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Garson Pfäffli got a free kick in the 7th minute. Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Odysseus Lindenmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Fire Devils getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Garson Pfäffli hit a great ball. Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odysseus Lindenmann having to interfere. Odysseus Lindenmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edmílson Gaúcho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 32 minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match, Benjamin Kreyenbühl tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Odysseus Lindenmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmílson Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Fire Devils made a substitution. Robin Andermatt replaced Garson Pfäffli. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zlatko Ibrahimović made a kick off. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Odysseus Lindenmann firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Odysseus Lindenmann could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Odysseus Lindenmann made a huge save. Robin Andermatt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odysseus Lindenmann having to interfere. Robin Andermatt might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robin Andermatt ran back to his position shaking his head. Sven-Arne Bengtsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. With a little luck, Fire Devils's Odysseus Lindenmann got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Agustín Saelices played forward. Odysseus Lindenmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fire Devils the free kick. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Odysseus Lindenmann. That made the score 1-3 in the 87 minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
