But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Reyes came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ceferino Reyes. Bienvenido Zapata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, extreme fc's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Bienvenido Zapata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ceferino Reyes tried to sneak it across the goal line. extreme fc's Eriberto Bentisca got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, extreme fc's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Bienvenido Zapata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by extreme fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Bienvenido Zapata despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bienvenido Zapata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Ceferino Reyes made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Bienvenido Zapata threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Daniel Zorita this time. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bienvenido Zapata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Bienvenido Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. extreme fc's Bienvenido Zapata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save extreme fc from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute Araoz Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, extreme fc's Araoz Nogueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 90th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bienvenido Zapata in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The extreme fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
