In the 8th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Arif Devrim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mustafa Arif Devrim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play forced RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's goalkeeper Mustafa Arif Devrim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mustafa Arif Devrim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 27th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Chabier. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Arif Devrim. Mustafa Arif Devrim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 32nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Arif Devrim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Victor Cutberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Ceferino Chabier got his second yellow card of the match in the 38th minute. The referee ordered Ceferino Chabier off the ground. In the 38th match minute, RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceferino Chabier to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mexico booed when RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Chabier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Arif Devrim came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andreas Pirlo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Dante Lacasa 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Mustafa Arif Devrim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 60th minute, Facundo Cadaval got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amador Donzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thodoris Katsiaros kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Mustafa Arif Devrim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 68th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Amador Donzel put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. In the 73rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Arif Devrim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Mustafa Arif Devrim threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Amador Donzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mustafa Arif Devrim. Alberto Tafalla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Victor Cutberto got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgar Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Mustafa Arif Devrim was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Alberto Tafalla capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alberto Tafalla really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
