Paulo José de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 19th minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José de Sena having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Brazil Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Paulo José de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes of play, El Salvador's Abram Luque made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo José de Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulo José de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Luque in the 39th minute of the match. Brazil Academy's Rubinho Azevedo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valentino Ferrant, made in the 43rd minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Amílton Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Brazil Academy's zone, Abram Luque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José de Sena came out of the goal and Abram Luque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the game, Moises Fernandino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo José de Sena. Moises Fernandino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. If Aírton Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Paulo José de Sena in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brazil Academy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mateo Leguizamo was slow to take the kick. During this time El Salvador's players had a chance to rest. Rubinho Azevedo tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Paulo José de Sena. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-4 in the 73rd minute. After 78 played minutes Brazil Academy got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Dantas. In the 87th match minute, Brazil Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Massa to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas Vidal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Salvador walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
