Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 6th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Lepori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristian Sancho sped through Maritek FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edmondo Lepori. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. If Adriano Santoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Maritek FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmondo Lepori. The Maritek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmondo Lepori should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmondo Lepori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Chiawuotu Adato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 39 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmondo Lepori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Edmondo Lepori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Edmondo Lepori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Andino in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, Maritek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Edmondo Lepori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmondo Lepori having to make a save. Juan Sebastián Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Edmondo Lepori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Maritek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Di Tullio to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Edmondo Lepori when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Edmondo Lepori to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmondo Lepori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Edmondo Lepori. Maritek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Edmondo Lepori in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Edmondo Lepori to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Maritek FC's Edmondo Lepori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Maritek FC from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Edmondo Lepori in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Edmondo Lepori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Maritek FC's goalkeeper Edmondo Lepori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 94 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maritek FC.
