The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paralia Athens's Doru Apostu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doru Apostu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute of the match, Unai Herrera got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcos Cotilla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasile Enciulescu during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Paralia Athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Enciulescu to maneuver through the defense. Dorel Găman kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Doru Apostu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Panama's Miguel Miralles suffered a sore thigh after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luca Tomozei during the 72nd minute. After 92 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Dylan Sarmiento. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Unai Herrera in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Paralia Athens could leave the field as winners, despite Panama having more of the ball for most of the match.
