Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after PS Banyuwangi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montenegro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 9th minute, Ren Ang Ying reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-0. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elano Salgado having to make a save. Elano Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ren Ang Ying in the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elano Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, PS Banyuwangi's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Elano Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to PS Banyuwangi getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Zulfikar Tampubolon hit a great ball. After 43 minutes, Dominggus Maulana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PS Banyuwangi and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when PS Banyuwangi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominggus Maulana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64thth minute of the game Albert Petruescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Sobur Barenz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elano Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albert Petruescu struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PS Banyuwangi. The supporters of PS Banyuwangi booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th match minute, PS Banyuwangi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominggus Maulana to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Elano Salgado made a huge save. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ren Ang Ying took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Elano Salgado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cristian Sancho in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elano Salgado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee blew the final whistle, PS Banyuwangi could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
