In the 5th match minute, FC Fanaticii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Măgură to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alin Piersic, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Adrian Jitaru came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the FC Fanaticii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Jitaru couldn't finish the play. FC Fanaticii's attentive Moise Corduneanu managed to snatch the ball when Jose Sanz made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Andrei Pavel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marius Măgură who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Fanaticii's Alin Piersic got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Hector Covarrubias came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. Marius Măgură recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Adrian Jitaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute Adrian Jitaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adrian Jitaru to strike the kick off in the second half. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bogdan Buzea made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano. The supporters of Paraguay booed when FC Fanaticii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Buzea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Prats hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Jose Sanz. Marius Măgură recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
