After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Eren Özkan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute Eren Özkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tahir Hallaç showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. Ahmet Korcan Tolgas short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tahir Hallaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tahir Hallaç struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GOMERASPOR. After 29th play minutes Tahir Hallaç shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GOMERASPOR's Nils Krüger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ahmet Korcan Tolga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 38 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ahmet Korcan Tolga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ahmet Korcan Tolga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. GOMERASPOR's Ahmet Korcan Tolga got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ahmet Korcan Tolga sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tahir Hallaç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the game, GOMERASPOR's Tahir Hallaç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Korcan Tolga in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of GOMERASPOR booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eren Özkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nils Krüger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 87th minute of play. When Vladimir Frid came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the GOMERASPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimir Frid couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Korcan Tolga in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Tahir Hallaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
