In the 4th minute, Severiano Arano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Varban Pavlikyanov came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14thth minute of the game Aníbal Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 16th minute of play. Haroldo Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Aníbal Sá dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Varban Pavlikyanov in the 24th minute. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Haroldo Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tarcisio Couto took the corner. The corner led to Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Varban Pavlikyanov getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Alan Tamayo hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Sá in the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aníbal Sá.

After some careless play in the Chile defense, Nilmar de Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. 55 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haroldo Dante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Queraria to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Clube Atl. Taquaritinga booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Pozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Breno Loyola spun around in front of the goal 67 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Chile's goal. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Breno Loyola took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 75th minute, Aníbal Sá ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Haroldo Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 79th minute. After 84 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Dante was left in no man's land by his defense there! 88 minutes into the match, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Haroldo Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. With his leg Haroldo Dante managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 90th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Clube Atl. Taquaritinga fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
