After a rather tough play, Valette Stars's Rafail Rusev got a free kick in the 21st minute. Valette Stars were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maurice Crochard took the corner. The corner led Valette Stars's Maurice Crochard to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Rafail Rusev sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Mexico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valette Stars:s goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Fabian Walme hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The throw-in from Leonardo Leoz in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Valette Stars's Mathys Chassot. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Valette Stars booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valette Stars's Maurice Crochard got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Facundo Cadaval managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Facundo Cadaval was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrien Tanneau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Valette Stars's Fabian Walme got a free kick in the 67th minute. Alberto Tafalla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Adrien Tanneau skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valette Stars's Mathys Chassot managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 73 minute of the game. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrien Tanneau made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Valette Stars's Mathys Chassot quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonardo Leoz, made in the 86th minute of the game. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Valette Stars from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adrien Tanneau. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Valette Stars players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
