Spase Kastrati didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute of the match, Franck Gamel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jakov Bundev got free with Julio Vera in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Spase Kastrati narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Spase Kastrati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Spase Kastrati. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sultan-Mehmet Khan in the 30th minute. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Spase Kastrati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sultan-Mehmet Khan's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes, Sultan-Mehmet Khan made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
