Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Salvador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Best Man was slow to take the kick. During this time Djurgårdens IF's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Best Man got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ricardo Zorita quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Djurgårdens IF's Best Man got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 10 played minutes Djurgårdens IF got a freekick which was hit by Pankracy Oborski. When El Salvador's Moises Fernandino in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Djurgårdens IF's goalie prevented a goal. After 15 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Magrina. A hard shot 19 in the game by Börje Fagerberg from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Zorita managed to make a qualified save. El Salvador's players were relieved. El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Herman Litmanen, made in the 23rd minute of the game. After 23 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. 26 minutes into the game, Djurgårdens IF's Börje Fagerberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 29th minute, El Salvador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pankracy Oborski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pankracy Oborski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Zorita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Djurgårdens IF booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Pankracy Oborski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pankracy Oborski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 41 minutes, Pankracy Oborski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Djurgårdens IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pankracy Oborski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Börje Fagerberg sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Zorita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Best Man showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 45 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Börje Fagerberg went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Pankracy Oborski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Pankracy Oborski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Djurgårdens IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Pankracy Oborski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Best Man fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Moises Fernandino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jorge Magrina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Luis Rubio hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Börje Fagerberg made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Fagerberg in the 76th minute of the match. Jorge Magrina hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When Börje Fagerberg came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Djurgårdens IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Fagerberg couldn't finish the play. Jorge Magrina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Marco Tamayo hit a great ball. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pankracy Oborski in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Djurgårdens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Mager didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Alfred Mager hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Börje Fagerberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 95th minute Börje Fagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Djurgårdens IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
